My Netherland Dwarfs.
| Netherland Dwarfs: back in the late 1990s this breed dominated my life. I then chose to concentrate on all the work that needed to be done with the Lionheads to have the breed accepted. So the Netherlands began to give way to generation after generation of Lionheads, produced to show to the Breed Standards Committee and achieve the standardisation of the breed. |
I still have a handful of Netherland Dwarfs and I concentrate on breeding Smokes and Sables. Occasionally they do produce the odd Red Eyed White or Black Otter and most of the local magicians have a white bunny that is one of mine. I kept an Otter buck in 2007 and in his first show year he won six ‘best of breeds’ awards. In 2008 i kept two young bucks, an Opal, the most miserably looking chap, called Oswold and a Black Otter son of Declans, at the moment he is know as "Little Dec". Plus I kept two does a little Agouti, Anna and a Red Eyed White Ruby. I have only kept one baby so far this year (2009) a young little Siamese Smoke buck called "Borg". Two more are set to stay, a Stunning Black otter Doe, and a Young William II, will be called "Little Willy".
News: Roxey has found a retirment home with Tracy, she is living with her neutered son-Billy who Tracy got from me in 2007. They are all loved up, with Roxey being in full grooming mode with him.
